Default The guess work begins.

THis time of the year might be the hardest time for us deer hunters. We are 3 months away from season, the fawns are dropping, and the bucks are starting to regrow antlers.

I decided to finally take the camera back out to the spot behind the house to see if anything was coming through.

I got quiet a few pictures, they were mainly the same two bucks and the same two does.

I can't wait for season to get here!

and two BIG does...

Those deer really like that salt black, eh ?

I put out a 50lb trace mineral block(the red block) along with my powdered mineral at my feeder sites..They finally started digging into the dirt this past week.

Great photos, too. Thanks.
They are really tearing it up this year. I've had the Trace mineral block out for two years, and the salt block got put out this time last year. They must like the mix or something but they are definately hitting it harder than usual. They are really starting to dig that stump out. I had 60 pictures of two groups of 2 deer visiting this site over 2 days. They are coming into it atleast twice a day, sometimes 3.

You can't see it but there is a trace mineral block at the bottom of the stump, about half the size of the salt block.
