RE: Trail cam setups?
i am going to set out 4 cuddebacks in early season over bait, that leaves 2 behind so if i find a great public scrape or funnel during the rut i can put it there

RE: Trail cam setups?
Right now i only own a moultree 140 and a (wildview [:'(]) I think the wild view went on the brink from last summers sweltering heat, we will see. During the summer months mine are usually out when the beans are comming up. That seems to be the place to get good pics and the bigger bucks dont mind showing themselves this time of year either. I have never tried corn in front of them but will this year. I found some very beat trails just inside of the woods while turkey hunting this season..I think ill start there as soon as i get some fresh batteries. Man i got to get some rechargebles [&o]6 volt's are $ pricy $$$ Im even pondering trying mounting a cam straight above a trail looking down just for something different :DIm eat up, i know

RE: Trail cam setups?
I've got 4 out now. All four are over looking summer food plots. I'll leave mine on food until fall and I will switch them to travel routes.
I use my cameras for inventory only and never put them where I plan to hunt. After 6 years of heavy camera use, I've yet to identify a pattern that would be worthy of hunting. |
RE: Trail cam setups?
I ran 3 cams last year on the old lease, a D40 and 2 Bushnell Trail cams. All over feeders. We found out quickly taht we had a lot more deer (especially bucks) than we had ever seen. I have replaced the Busnnell's with 2 I40's. I have 1 I40 and the D40 just watching some trail crossings right now, but I ordered some 30-06 with protien minerals that should be here next week. So in the next couple of weeks I should have all 3 set up over mineral licks.
