I LOVE edges. Deer are attracted to edges. I spend most of my time on this one. It's a HUGE thicket where it meets the woods.

On the edge in early season and during the pre rut and rut usually where ever I see the most buck sign. Its usually in the deep, thick part of the woods.

I hunt the edges the first couple weeks. I'll move deeper in the woods as my season goes, then late, late season I'm on the edges of the food sources depending on the weather and snow cover!

I hunt marsh lands and woods that border thickets or grassy praries almost all season.Due to the pressure where I huntthe deerare always hiding in these areas.Very similar to early ins picture.

Dan, the action I see back there is awesome, and it's public land. Folks just don't like to walk back there. I alwayssee deerand get good trail cam pics at this spot. Here's a couple.The thicket is the ticket!
