PA Lion

I dont believe that they are loose and breeding here in PA People may turn them out as pets but my guess is they dont make it long enough to have the impact or be as much of a threat as people make them out to be.
Why is it that after how many hours ive spent wandering the mountains ive never even bumped one?? lol
Ryan.

My guess is you aren't stealthy enuf to sneak up an bump a cat.
They are the ghosts that follow you around and you never know it. After a fresh snowfall in the mountains I have backtracked on my tracks just to find out I had been stalked by a cat for many miles. Gives a guy an Eeeerie feeling.

I killed a nice big ten point near Mill Creek-some incredible country.
I agree, you won't know he's there until he has you by the back ofyour neck/head. By that time, it's over! They are the ultimate predator...

Haha, I love internet rumors. I believe there have been sightings in PA. Most likely a few "pets" that became loose, not a conspiracy of the PAGC to control deer population
In actuality, my father did see one during the 1991 rifle season on our property. It walked up the edge of our field for about 10 minutes...got as close as about 50yds. My dad has spent his whole life hunting/trapping. I'll trust his judgment whether others do or not

This is what I really think about mountain lions in Pa. I believe it's VERY possible they exist here in Pa in small numbers, yet I wonder why there hasn't been any concrete proof of their existence. Prints in the snow, good photos or aroad kill, would be examples.I haveseen areas of Clinton county while native trout fishing, where I KNOW humans, other than Indians, have never traveled. This is a very wild, mountainous, and vast regionwhere they could live undetected. This being said, I'm a show me kind of guy. JMHO

No this wasn't PA........it was somewhere out west, Utah I believe?
God who starts this crap?
That is the taxidermist who got the cat to mount, if you look closely you can see elk and mule deer antlers around his shop.
