single pin

Anyone use a single sight for hunting - my eyes are starting to get blurry when shooting - thinking of trying oneI don't often get a shot over 30 yards - hell to get old

RE: single pin

I LOVE a single pin sight for hunting. What I did was set my pin dead on @ 25 yards, and just left it alone. I was 1 1/2" high at 20 yards and 1 1/2" low at 30 yards. That ain't gonna matter at all on a deer. 1 1/2"?? Whoopidie doo.

It makes for a very uncluttered, and clear, sight picture. Also, no confusion at the moment of truth as to what pin to use.

I always have, I think its the only way to go. If they are more than 35 ards out, they just lived to see another day in my book.

I love using a single pin sight for hunting. My range is out to 35 yards. I do the same thing that mobow does, dial it dead on at 25 yards, I might be 1 1/2 low at 35 yards, might be 1" high at 20 yards. It is so nice not having to remember which pin at which yardarge. Simply range the area around your stand, when Mr. Big Boys steps within range, put your pin on him and bust em!

I just bought a single pin sight and I really like it alot, I have the Truglo with the trinium pin. It dont have a light or anything but it is a fiber optic pin the glows in thedark. it really is a nice sight. I can turn the lights off at my house and still see the pin.
