Default PA and neighbors Rut calendar

As I've mentioned before, I'm originally from NW Pennsylvania, but I live in Florida now. Each fall I take two weeks of vacation to bowhunt in PA. With my work schedule, I've found myself taking that two weeks during the October "lull." Pretty much the first two weeks of October. This year my plan is to hunt the last week of October and the first week of November. I'm curious as to what kind of rut activity you all saw at different points throughout the season. Example: Around November 7 you saw a buck trailing a hot doe or on or around October 25 you saw a buck fight. Maybe you could even share what tactics (ie. rattling, grunting, doe bleat) were working for you at different points. Thanks guys.

Every year for the last 12 years I have hunted PA the window of movement is usually from Halloween to the week before rifle season. Every year I take the first full week of November off work to hunt specifically and every year I see bucks running does during this timeframe.

That is what I'm hoping. I think I'll be up there from October 25th until the 8th of November. Leave the 9th.

If you can hunt all the days in November you will have the best days available to you. From Halloween on they start to get funny!

Like the others said. Last week of October to the end of the season would be your best. October 31st last year I rattled in and took a nice 7 point. Had him fight with another buck under my stand. Saw 6 bucks that morning all hot and heavy. October 29th, I rattled in a killer 8 point but he snuck in from behind me (came out of a little swamp across the road) and couldn't get a shot.

You will be about as perfect timing as you can get.
