ORIGINAL: MN/Kyle

I think that the thermacell is the best product I've ever bought.
I couldn't agree more! I think it is one of the best hunting and outdoors products ever invented.

Its either the thermacell or spray and ill take the thermacell over spray any day. it works great in the early season. It may stink a little but im after a Doe any way in the early season. so if it goes against me....oh well, there are plenty more does to go after.

I'm covered head to toe, anyways. I don't see the need for one where I hunt.

I didn't last year, because I hadn't heard about it. By the time I caught wind of it most of the early season was over. You can bet I'll be going out there with one this year!

I would rather forget my bow than my Therma-cell. I cover head to toe as well but the skeeters around here stab right through light weight early season clothing.

You can cover from head to toe here all you want. I would bet anyone, around 0'dark-thirty without mosquitoe repellant you would be whining like a little girl. It is just not worth it to me. tx, you are right. I would rather leave my bow at home than my Thermacell.

I can't believe some of you have never heard of it. If you have mosquitoes, you need one. They work, guaranteed, and I have killed deer while using one and was never winded. Not saying they can't smell it, but if the mosquitoes are bad, it's worth the risk. I don't care if I'm covered from head to toe, mosquitoes bug the crap out of me, even if their not biting. In a dry year, I may not have to use one because the mosquitoes aren't bad, but that's usually not the casein Louisiana. They have them on sale at a local store where I live for $14.95. I'm going to get another one. The striker on mine is messing up. Guys, if you don't have one, get one, especially if you live in the south. They are not expensive. They usually cost around $20.00.

Since Dan (bloodcreek) is a natural mosquito repellent, I take him hunting with me and put him out 10' from where I am ... all the skeeters go at him ...he last about 4 hours before a transfusion is needed ..... then he is recharged

Seriously .... I don't even know what it is ... and I am covered anyway .. a little deep woods and I'm all set .....

I've never used one, never really had a need for it, but if the early season keeps up as warm as it has been the last couple years, I'll need one. If I draw a bear tag this year, I'll definitely get one though. Mid-september in the U.P. can be BRUTAL.

Never used one. Bugs can be a bit bad here in PA in early Oct, but nothing I can't handle. Now on the lake in Canada in June/July...that's when I could use one[:@]
