Default Hope springs eternal....A buck from my county

I don't ever claim that there aren't large racked bucks in my area.....we just don't have an abundance of them. That's not a complaint......far from it. It's simply a product of fact.

One of my co-workers took this FINE NC (Forsyth Co.) buck on opening day of last year. Rough score (gross) was 135-1/8"....and it's a remarkable deer for our area.

He also took an almost THIRTY pound turkey with his gun last Saturday (11-1/2" beard)....and this beautiful coyote that same afternoon (shot the yote early....and the bird, late).

It's the off-season......just thought you might enjoy the photos.

Very nice buck. Like the yote as well...but I have to see pictures of this turkey! Almost 30lbs, that thing has to be a tank!

Another co-worker took one @ 26+#'s. last year. We grow some big birds, here!

I'll try to run him down and get a photo of his bird and post that, too.

Beautiful buck, and in velvet too. A 30 lb. turkey? I thought the only birds like that had Butterball written on them. That guy must have some steroids in the ground or something.
