BHB DOWNS ANOTHER!!!!

BHB, Congrats on the Bird and the quick kill.
IMHO a Bowhunter should never release an arrow at game unless he is confident of a quick clean kill.
Your story sounds quite the contrary. Hail mary shots have no place in a Bowhunter's arsenal. A Turkey's vitals are a small target at close range much less at 50+ yards. I think you are a better bowhunter than that. I enjoy the kill as much as anyone but there are times when the %'s should tell us not to shoot.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way. Nothing I like better than to encourage a young hunter, but there are also lessons to be learned.
Hopefully you will think long and hard before you take another shot at this distance on a Turkey or any Game. There are times when longer shots can be made, but it is a learning process to know when itis right and when itis wrong.
I never send an arrow on the way thinking "I'll probably miss anyway"

Thanks guys!
and meanV2 thanks for giving me a differnt aspect on it......i will never take spur of the moment shots like i have before. That exactly how i wounded one early this spring. I hit it low and it just flew off.....
And thanks for the compliments on the pictures....the ten second timer was a pain in the butt to beat!
