The guys on our local forum are pretty good about showing visitors around if they have a bit of time to get organised.
No animals guaranteed but good times and memories are.

Welcome! I loved your story and the photos are awesome! Being from Wellington, I assume you were hunting the north island, right? I so appreciate guys like you. If nothing else, stories like yours opens the minds of a few brave enough to venture aboard.
Wow, hunting year round with no tags to purchase and a cornucpia of free ranging game ( most of it poisonedas pests). Moreover, you can throwin a ton of public land! How could a bow hunter not want to hunt New Zealand. Heck, I beat a person could get a hunt done there for under $2500 including airfare. Hmmm.....think of the memories.
For the record, you Kiwis are the friendliest folks on the planet!
