Are we talking saltwater or fresh water? Believe it or not, in 24 and a half years in the Navy, I never fished saltwater once. Go figure. If you're talking saltwater, I'm all over it!

I've spent 9 years on amphibious assault ships, and that's a lot of time with Marines. I know what those fellas do for all of us... I've seen it. This old retired Navy Chief's had is off to each and every one of them.

Yes I live on cape cod I am not much into sport fishing but the stripe bass popultion is out of control no problem to go out and catch 10 to 40 lb bass and10 to 15lbblue fish all day long.funny how an arguement can turn into an invite.

When I am out fishing off shore and a navy ship asks me what my intenchions are on in navagation16 vhf I tell them what ever you want from me.

That's funny about the sticker but I wouldn't have done it. Blackfish, I can't spell ether, never had a spelling or English class in my life. Haha yes of course you shouldn't have done it, but that is pretty funny! maybe next time you shouldn't attach the sticker, just slide it under her windshield wiper so she can see it but that way it isn't really attached. If some peta person put a note or sticker under my windshield wiper i'd prob just laugh and throw it away, if they affixed it to my truck i'd prob flip out. Oh well, still hilarious in my book

Cape Cod, huh? Do you guys call 'em Stripers there or Rock Fish? I've got a friend here from the New England area who still calls them Rock Fish. I keep trying to tell him they're called Stripers here, but it doesn't do any good. Sometimes I want to smack him in the back of the head.

You're right about the argument thing, though. I can't begin to list the names of the people who I've met because of a disagreement who are now my friends. I think it's just a matter of keeping things in perspective. Just because we disagree on a particular issue doesn't mean we don't have a lot in common.
