Careful now. I was born and raised in south Georgia and there's a small population that spells it "samitch", so, not wanting to offend the townspeople I'll spell it there way.

Besides, from where I'm from, anything above Atlanta is considered a Yankee these days.
I'm tellin' ya, it's a sad day when Tennesseans are considered Yankees. What would Davy Crockett think about that?[&o]

Well, I see what ya mean but it kinda progresses upward. For Tennesseeans, a yankee might be considered anyone north of Kentucky.

I know somebody on another site that has this for a signature line........

"Never argue with an idiot. He will only drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience"!

Now, I am NOT saying that pertains to anybody here....I am just saying.

A wise man once told me...."Arguing over the internet is like running in the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded."

Cruel saying, but true.

LT ... I KNOW you are smart enough to seperate someone's RIGHTS given to them by living in this country and someone's BELIEFS .... you can seperate them .... can't you?
That, my friend is what is wrong with our country today. People who can not tell the difference between a right and a wrong. Belief has everything to do with it PT, unless of course we don't know the difference between right and wrong. ( Which is exactly where PETA stands as far as I am concerned.)

That kill thread is talkin about the very thing we are here ...... OUR RIGHTS ..... it's OUR RIGHT to kill animals per the game laws in our state......
No, the kill thread is where you stated the graphics of what you like to see in your mind before you shoot a deer. That is not a right, that is a personal enjoyment. People disrespecting me because I hunt for meat is what I call infringing on my rights. I stated in my post that disrespecting a person's vehicle or property is wrong in my eyes. Believing that PETA is wrong about hunting is pretty much common sense. After all, if it had not been for the killing of animals in the past, we would not have survived till now. (Biblically nor secularly(sp).) Yes, they do have the right to voice their opinion. Never said they didn't. The fact of the matter is, you can be all for anything you want to be for, but that does not necessarily mean it is right.

God gave me my right to hunt.
BTW .... what commandment states it's our right to hunt?
Never said it was a commandment. I KNOW you know the difference between a commandment and a gift? Right?

Genesis 1:26-30 is a good example of what God gave us to survive. But you knew that already. Right?

we have thousands of men and women that have DIED FOR THEIR RIGHT TO SAY IT!!!!
If this is what our brave soldiers are over their dying for, God have mercy on the ones who sent them there. Very ridiculous statement imho.

I have never seen you act like such a blockhead [:@]
Where do you find in your layity (sp) the right to go around calling people blockheads? Man, I never wanted this to become an argument over beliefs, but if the shoe fits....

All that said, it is just a sticker. She will take it off, further her hate for hunters, and life will go on. Maybe now she will be spurred into being an active member seeking to take our rights...who knows.
13 pages and this is the best thing that I have found other than a couple guys getting together and a couple more sharing some venison.

MY TAKE: Would I be tempted to do the same? Yes. Would I do it? No. What would stop me? The main reason that I have a problem with this is that my actions would be tarnishing the reputations of hunters everywhere and thats not my right.

Although I agree with you to an extent Ben, our reputations as hunters are tarnished in their PETA eyes as long as we hunt. jmho

The problem is, YOUR right is someone elses WRONG .... and visa versa ..... you want everyone to agree with you and if they don't, you will justify the actions of one that does ... even when that action attacks the very premise this country was founded upon!!!

Yep .... a gift is yet another term subject to an idividuals interpretation .... so you sentence made zero sense

Genesis 1:26-30 is a good example of what God gave us to survive. But you knew that already. Right?
That was not talking about hunting ..... at that time there was NO death for sin had not yet entered the world

You mean dying for the rights of free speech ... the rights of hapiness??? Dude ... where are you coming from??? Thet is EXACTLY what they are dying for!!!

No PT. What is right is right and wrong is wrong. There are no shades of gray. Where on earth do you get the idea we are living in a society formed by our forefathers' beliefs? I mean come on, is our country not headed to hell in a handbasket because people have gotten away from what our country was truly founded on? "Beliefs" "Morals" ect.? God gave us rights, but he never said we had the right to say the wrong things. Free speech is ok as long as it does not transgress against the one who gave us the right. Follow me?

Never said it was a commandment. I KNOW you know the difference between a commandment and a gift? Right?

"That" makes zero sense. A gift, from God, is not subject to anyones interpretations. Man, where are you coming from?

You are correct, but, the time would come, and our God knew it.( Beginning to End) He knew what the flesh of animals would be used for don't you think. That is why he gave us dominion over them.

You mean dying for the rights of free speech ... the rights of hapiness??? Dude ... where are you coming from??? Thet is EXACTLY what they are dying for!!!
If they are dying for people to say (speak) untrue statements, it is a shame. If they are dying for the truth, God bless them. It is true, we should be free, but the world won't allow it. (Unless you are saved, then the law has no effect on you, because it is not needed any longer)

I have always loved reading your posts ... until this thread .....
Sorry, PT, but I will stand for what is right. I still love you man.
