What is your goal??
 

For this coming bow season (whitetails) that is..? I would like to take at least one mountable buck 125" class or better and about 3 or 4 does with bow. Gun kills not applicable for this thread..

My first truly mature buck of 3.5 years or older, with a nice thick rack of 8 points or better. And to take one more doe to keep it even. I will succeed this year because I will hunt harder/smarter.

I would also like to try to pattern a buck on his summer pattern a try to get him, but this isnt a major priority.

I gonna be hunting new land this yr, 3000 acs. Lots of farm land and cutovers. Some big timber not a lot, nor lots of oaks, but some. There are some big bucks here, and I may be the only one bow hunting it..we'll see

A nice legal PA buck and doe with my longbow or recurve, and as always a good 3.5yr old buck in IL and maybe one or 2 of those nice fat does as well with the compound.

My goal is to enjoy the woods this season, via taking 2 doe and a nice buck (for my area) during the rut. Then killing a "big" Alberta buck as well. I don't think I'm asking for too much.;):D

Kind of my goal as well being my buck last year scored 140 1/8". Who knows I guess until he walks in front me, it might be smaller then that too. My main goal as always is 130" and better. If I get an extra doe tag I'll more then likely fill that with a nice doe or doe fawn. Otherwise it could easily be tag soup for me.;)

A successful PA season would entailfilling my buck tag with a mature buck. Taking a trip to Pike county Illinois the first week in November, hoping for something in the 140" class out there.

Probably to take my first buck with a bow as well as helping balance the herd by taking a couple does. Having good shot placement is pretty high on my list as well.

Nice goals oakcreek. So far I've done 2 out of 3 you have listed through out the years but damn it sure would be nice to do it a few times more, I've never hunted moose yet. My dad shot a Canada Moose here in Minnesota that use to be the Archery State record, its now #2. It has a 60 some inch spread. Last I checked it was the widest Canada Moose in the P&Y Book. He scored 172".

I think we get two Bucks again this year, so I want to get at least a 130"+ with the bow and then hunt hard for a bigger Buck over 150" with the bow. I also intend on shooting a few does for the Illinois Sportsmen Against Hunger program and paying to have them processed for the homeless food bank shelters etc.
I have most of the last week and a half of October off and the first two weeks of November so I intend on hunting a lot of full days this year. I also want to get out every morning that I can as long as the weather is decent for hunting. I might run up to Northern Wisconsin to hunt if things go well early in Illinois or get over to Iowa to hunt with friends.

I'd like to get a good 110"+ buck with a bow in PA and hopefully something 125" or better in OH. I'll also try to shoot a pile of does with my bow. Now that I've gotten one gobbler with my scattergun I'll be trying to get the second with a bow.

I have a couple of new places to hunt with much greater opportunity for a wall hanger. I won't shoot a buck this year unless it goes on the wall. 130" or better. I will kill several does. This will be the first year I'm targeting mature deer.

My first kill with traditional gear (whatever critter it may be)

A bull elk

As many does that I can get

And at least one, hopefully 2, 3.5+ bucks 125" or better.

I;m hunting hard with the Longbow this season, I'm hoping it pays off!! My goal would be to kill a nice deer with it, or even a Turkey would be great!:)

1.Put meat in the freezer within the first week of the season.
2. Kill a buck worth mounting with my bow.
3. Kill at least one mature doe during the last half of the season

Icing on the cakeif #1 and #2 happen at the same time

My goal is the same as always........

1. HAVE FUN!!
2. Shoot mature bucks with big racks, and capture it all on video.
3. Shoot does prior to the rut, and capture it on video.
4. HAVE FUN!!

5. Repeat steps 1-4 in every state I hunt for whitetails.....:)

My goal is at least a spike or a doe. Of course it would be great to take a 4pt or bigger but it will be my first bow kill if I do.

Goal #2 : Shoot a deer (really helpswith #1!)
Goal #3 : Shoot a deer while my 8yr old son is with me (we can both achieve #1)
Goal #4 : Shoot several deer
Goal #5 : Last but not least, shoot a decent buck
