Do any of you guys have any good ideas on where to get one? I'm in need of one for a mount that's being done.

Hey James, can't help you with that, but after reading your post I thought about how neat it would look if you could get a large white pine branch that was rough cut and turned into a pedestal mount.

Funny you mentioned the rough cut look. This is one pedestal that I found that I liked, but can't get in contact with the manufacturer:

Make your own.. It is a simple series of 67.5 degree angle cuts on that octagon pedestal. [/align]

I build bases here in North Carolina.

I can build you anything you need.

Here are some of mine that I have built...

I just got started doing woodworking for the taxidermy trade, and I welcome any input or feedback. I can do custom sizes with a reasonable turnaround time.

Anyone that is interested can call me (336-202-6680), pm me or e-mail me ([email protected]) for pricing etc.

Thanks for looking,

John

Speak of the devil, and the devil shall come. John does all my work, matter of fact the big one is for a bear that will get mounted during the Taxidermy mini- course classes here in NC.
