I use the Silver Top a bit during the bow season with pretty good success.

I tried the Silvertop a few yrs back, and had no success with it at all. Been thinking of trying it again this year though. My favorite lure is Kirchsners Curiosity scent. Anytime I have put it out, and a deer got close to it they have stopped, and checked it out. Its been the most consistant lure I' ve used to date. Works well all through archery season, especially early season.

I would have to say curiosity and trail maker are my favorite, and use the others w/mixed results.

Kerchner has some good products. The problem I found is they' re really strong. I had good success with Silver Top, Curiosity and trailmaker. Not so with Silver top 2. If you use too much it spooks the deer. I like the crystals too. I had doe' s spook big time when using Silver Top to early in the season. I been using Jackie' s deer lure the past few years and had good reaction to that also. I' ve never had a deer spook with Jackie' s. I' ve meet Bob a number of times and he' s a great guy. I have some of his early video' s he did with Dan McCormick and Wade Nolan. I learned a lot watching those tapes. JERRY

I have tried them on a couple occasions as well and would agree with Jerry in that they seem to be quite strong. I actually had one or two deer spook on them and my theory was that the odor was too concentrated in my application. I think they work well but they need to be used sparingly.
