Something has always stuck with me since I read it here.....

Huntingson said, once....that he misses the bond that is shared when you place your life in the hands of another man......andhis, with you.

(Major pause, here......because that's REALLY powerful)

I can't fathom that bond.....but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you guys for what you've sacrificed for us.

Iam humbled.

No hunting ;)
well, you missed out !!

LOL Well, that was 33 yrs ago so I don't think they were planting food plots ;).

I didn't get to do much stuff other than training or "alert standby"for the 6 yrsI was in. If we weren't training, we were on standby and if we weren't on standby we were getting ready for training and leave was spent reaquainting myself with the family. I was in smallarmy units probably similar to your recon (Rangers in WA and another small unit like that in IT) so we didn't get much free time.

United States Air Force - Retired

January 1986 - September 2006

I do know and probably speak for many active duty and retired military members....kiss the ground you walk on here in the United States. There are many other places in the world which are nice to visit, great dining and shopping, breathtaking sights, and etc., but there is no placelikehome--United States of America.

We aren't perfect over here by any means, but not toobad either. I have been to places during my military time (and I'm sure other military members have too) which have definately opened my eyes up about how thankful one should be living in the USA. Our country is one huge melting potwith many people anddifferent origins....makes you wonder whypeoplecomehere to live.
