I have a son......and I can "imagine" having a daughter to be MUCH different
I can tell you this......My father in law knows only one thing. I make his daughter and grandson happy and I provide them with a loving household.
He could probably care little, beyond that.....(but I love him, dearly)
Not a dumb question, at all.....I'll just leave it to the dads with the girls.

I would love for a guy that hunts but if he is successful and treats her right it will be fine. But I like the song that is out "cleaning this gun". I am going to be that guy, and my daughter is only 2.

I have two daughters. I tried to get them into hunting when they were growing up, but neither is really interested, though the younger one is a bit more into it than the older one.
The older one is 22 and married a guy who has never hunted and has only been fishing once. I found that hard to believe, but he swears it's true. But she loves him and he makes her happy and that's the most important thing....I guess. LOL.
The younger one is only 17. She has a boyfriend now who I really like and he hunts. So, there's still hope.

Are you kidding me? I will have to hunt with the guy before I will ever let the guy call her. Emma is only 4, and already knows how to work the binoculars, look for sign, and can sit still for more than an hour watching things go on from the blind. My wife is furious that she loves doing this more than spongebob!

It would be nice to pass my land down to my daughter. If she marries a non hunter then the land goes to waste unless she hunts then the husband would be stuck home with the kids.
I think I'll just lock her up until she's at least 25
