Took a bullet from a .30-06 through my right bicep.....while bowhunting.
Darn!! I bet that hurt![:@]
2mm from killing me....I'll post the whole story someday.

god you are lucky to be alive! just imagine if the bullet would have expanded a little more!
It already had. It hit a tree branch and was tumbling.......20 yard sound shot.

Like I said, I'll tell the whole story someday and post some pics of the scars.

Out with Dukemichaels today working stands and cut a vine and WHIP right in his eye.
Ya.. thanks for that one Peak. It felt good.[8D]

Nothing like a stick doin' mach 1 into your socket. Now I guess I can claim an injury for this poll.

My injury occured preseaon. I was moving a 15' ladder stand and fell out of it landing on my back. Nothing broken, but I was in pain for several months. I always strap in now!

I've had a few situations where I should have been injured but got seriously lucky.

I had a climbing stand lose purchase and I slid about 8 feet down a tree, and dislocated a finger in the process (and that hurts brother). This past fall also, I went running out of a dove field to get my girlfriend another box of shells from the car (I'd already limited out) and somehow stepped on a piece of uneven ground and rolled my ankle REAL bad. If it wasn't for having 1000 sprained ankles and having very little ligament left to tear in my ankles from playing soccer for most of my life I suspect I would have been on crutches... but I walked it off.... though it was swollen nicely and 8 shades of purple, blue and green!

I bailed out of a 15ft climbing stand with no parachute, just hurt my pride more than anything. I had set up over a yellow jackets hole in the tree, and when it warmed up in the morning they came out "in force", apparantly not liking me there. Had a heck of a time getting the stand back down.

I've been pretty fortunate, except for one dumb incident. When I was in gradeschool, and didn't know any better,I tried taking a broadhead off my arrow without a wrench. I sliced 2 of my fingers really deep. Now I "ALWAYS"use a wrench.
