I think if you really have a reputable guide whose only concern is getting you face to face with a shooter,then that is the route I would go.I think I would get much more satisfaction from that type of hunt than one with a garantee,it just seems to me that would be like buying an elk to shoot,but that's just me.

I wouldn't pay that kind of money to shoot any animal, free range, guided, canned or anything. I'd rather bunny hunt for 14 dollars than spend $6000 plus to kill an elk. That's a couple new freezers and whole lot of beef

I'm fortunate enough to live in elk country, and may one day have my DYI oppertunity to shoot a 300+ bull. That will be good enough for me until I win the lottery. Then I'll go buy that 20,000 acres and have all the rich guys pay me to hunt onit
