Definately early season for targeting a specific buck. If i know there are several good bucks in the area that i wanted to kill i would say early November....
You've had some luck shooting these big guys early in the season? The reason I posted this thread is that I looked on a website from a state west of mine and they had pictures on there trail camera's of some huge P&Y whitetails, even some booners were on there but anyway the 1st week of season which is right around the 1st week of September and allot of these guys were done in the 1st few days with huge whitetails that they shot, most of them were the same bucks they had on there trail camera's. Its something I've been thinking about doing as well after seeing there success over there while there still in there summer patterns. The problem here is they change from there summer patterns about 2 weeks before our season opens in the middle of September.
