Cops in general are afraid of just about everything so I'm not surprised they were so scared thatthey killed the cat out of cowardly fear. As hunters we know that surrounding and baying up the cat would have been enough until a biologist was dispatched to tranquilize the animal.
Yeah right....cowardly fear?.....bay the cat up what? a swingset?...they did the right thing all things considered.

Mayor Richard Daley supported the action taken by police and said he didn't understand the complaints when people were in danger.

"I didn't see a neighbor run out, grab it and say 'I love you' and bring it in the house," said Daley. "This is unbelievable."

Exactly! I'm not killing anything till they pay me too and apologize. People have forgotten what it was like living or trying to live with these animals. I aim to make them not forget it.
