I like them. Switched from Muzzy's three years ago and have been very happy. I, like you didn't like the aluminum ferrule on the Muzzy head.

I've taken several deer, a hog and a couple of antelope with them. No bent or broken blades on any of the critters. I like the blade retention system and they are sharp. A good head.

They punch a good sized hole and leave a good blood trail.

If you are looking for a huge hole get a mechanical. The ST will leave an adequate hole, a good blood trail, and a very dead animal in short order if you hit them correctly. Only difference between an adequate hole and a huge one IMO is do you want to walk up to a deer that is just as dead and say OMG, look at that hole. Then take a pic and show everyone a huge wound. Deer aren't any more dead and don't really care.

As for accuracy they shoot well. I shoot them about 285fps out of an Allegiance. If you bow is not tuned, they will not shoot well, period. I don't care what the package and ads say, they will not fly out of an untuned bow. They shoot the same for me as my Muzzy's did. I can switch between the two and not change anything. I broadhead tune my bow so they hit similar to my fieldpoints. No moving the sights.

ST's make a nice big hole. They do a lot of damage too.
If your bow is tuned they fly w/ your fp's. I have shot them out of anUNTUNED bow and they do what any head would do...fly like crap.
I probably won't switch unless a better 4 blade catches my eye , but I think for now that's unlikely.

X2 switched last year. Took 3 deer with same head, I do switch the blades even though they looked good. I just like new edges.
