Who has ever been busted while drawing?

The last ones I can remember are a coyote in IL.........he was only 2 steps from the base of my tree and looking the other way. I could not see his eyes but when I got to 1/2 draw he snapped his head straight up at me and gone a micro second later. I don't think I'ever seen an animal move that fast, it was like a cartoon!.
Then this last season on the same farm the "Psycho Doe" as Greg and I like to call her ran away from me twice at 1/2 draw without ever looking up. She just bolted on a perfect wind both times and at the same point in the draw cycle. After she ran away the 2nd time (From 6 yards mind you) I sat there for 5 minutes drawing and letting down my bow slowly trying to hear if it was amking some noise.........nothing, whisper quiet unless it was letting out some dog whistle frequency sounds.
The SAME doe did the exact same thing to Greg the following week.
Boy we wanted her dead, she was making every animal in 10 miles nervous everytime she was around. Jumpiest deer I've ever seen in 23 years of bowhunting.

Not sure how anyone could bowhunt very long without getting busted sometimes...it happens.

All the time....I try to be more careful but it never fails.....things happen....
When it does I just keep rolling back andbear down and shoot much more quickly...I usually dobetter under the pressure...[:@]
If I hold long on a deer I sometimes fall apart and lose myself....22 years and I still fall apart...

In a tree.. never.
On the ground... a great many times. It's a fact of life.. but I've been lucky enough to take those few deer who have busted me from the ground.
But yotes are a whole other story. They are sly puppies... and they hate humans and avoid them like the plague. You get busted by a yote and he's not likely to stick around.

I've never been busted from a tree. I have on the ground, but not to the extent that the deer bolted and I didn't get the shot off. Hindsight... WAIT!!!

I got busted once in my tree pulling back on a nice buck. My sleeve grazed against the tree while drawing. The buck stopped at 6 yards and looked up at me. Being at full draw, I knew he wouldn't stick around very long, so I had to aim between his antlers and shoot for one lung. I was successfull..... whew!

I remembertwice getting busted while drawing.....and a couple more times having the release attached and getting ready to draw when I had to stop.....or get busted.
It'll happen again.

Never while drawing, but the buck I shot this past season was looking straight at me after I came to full draw. He walked downwind of me and a button buck picked me off at the same time, and he realized where the button buck was looking and followed suite by lookingstraight at me. I don't think he knew exactly where I was but knew something was wrong. Too late though.........at that point the game was already over for him.
