RE: One thing I've noticed....long(er) bows
Excuse me for not reading all the post, but who ever said short Axle to Axle was a better shooter than longer. We've always known longer was better for accuracy. Go to Vegas and see how many 33 inch bows are on the line. LOL It's always been that way.
As far as hunting situations and shorter bows go.... REALLY, if they didn't make a shorter bow we could all live with it and make the same shots. It's a sales pitch that people have bought. I'm a big boy... really only 5'9", but I'm agile enough to pull off a shot if you stuck 3 or 4 inches on the bow. These midget bows really don't do anything for us except empty our wallets.[8D] Really, the title of this thread should be, "One thing I've noticed is people buying these shorter bows... WHY?" |

My primary bow is a 33" TRX Real Tree Extreme and in being such a short bow it made me change from a finger shooter to a release in which I have don't like using for hunting, so I been looking at the Hoyt Vantage that is about 42" from axle to axle and is more foregiving than this short bow set up I have and go back to fingers when it comes to hunting. If I wereinto competing and shooting paper thanmy equiptment would be different if I were going for points.;). Good luck. Bobby |

RE: One thing I've noticed....long(er) bows
I like the guys that are 6'6'' with a 2' long head, usinga 32" ATA bow and ask me, hows my form
.I used 44 and 45" hunting bows for years and killed alot of deer with them. I am sure I posted on here about a month or 2 ago I was looking at the 101st, Elite XL or one of the Hoyts with a longer ATA for my next bow. |
