RE: Prejudice

Why? Why is it that hunting seems to attract the dredges of humanity? Why is hunting season turning into a veritable Jerry Springer episode?
I think you may be part of the "hunting" community, right? So where does that place you?

This schmuck is like a walking, talking stereotype. I couldn't see him from the neck down, but I'm saying the smart money is on: Nut Huggers and Hunting T-shirt. At least 2 dui's. 4 illegitimate kids.

Either that or a high school kid....

I'm hard on fellow hunters myself. I don't understand how you can blatently litter and consider yourself a conservationist in the same breath.

Personally, I don't dip, but I do like my sunflower seeds.... and when I'm driving... its usually a Sundrop bottle they go into.... hard to spit seeds out the window when driving.... great way to end up with one back in your face.... or on someone elses windsheild... and the people in Norfolk, VA are just oh so friendly all the time too....

Honestly man i have to say this, you sound like a little city boy, or a peda person in this thread. it could be completely untrue and you could just be a little stirred by this but c'mon. the guy was probably raised that way. im not defending him or anything, but you are also making a bad image for yourself. but i do understand your point b/c sometimes you see total idiocracy but hey, thats the world. i think the same thing about all of the white trash wannabee gangstas here where im from (western KY) but all people are different, and every hunter (or portrayed hunters) image cant be as well as yours. i enjoy the sport of archery and bowhunting as much as anybody, but i also drive a 6spd trans-am with a huge bird on the hood and drag race. does that mean i am a disgrace to our society here as well or dont fit in just b/c. im not calling you anything or trying to defend the littering deranged driving jack ass, but sometimes you just have to cut some people some slack.

I hear ya quick about how it attracts some real low lifes, I have unfortunately hunted with some at times, and while it does make me wonder, I usually take it in stride. There are lots of classy people that do this as well, and many of them are on this site, so I just take the good with the bad. Sometimes we may judge to quickly however, and we don't give people a chance, who knows their circumstances in life? What happened to them as children who their parents are??

This is hilarious. Before your first sentence was halfway complete, you made a harsh judgement ("little city boy") while admitting that you have no clue about quick or his background. Then you go on to tell him that his judgements are too hasty and too harsh ("cut some people some slack"), especially because there is no info about the background or upbringing of the fool in quick's original post.

And it's PETA, not peda. Idiocracy? Is that a form of government?

Sorry if I am being too judgemental.

Sometimes, you read things in this place that just make you shake your head. Thanks for saving me the typing, BG.

Germ: I think throwing some people undera bus (literally) would do society an enormous favor.
