Love him or hate him, he cares about the sport. I dont always agree with him, he likes to make things harder than they have to be cause its the "Barta" way, but you have to respect him for that. He sets goals and wont bend in order to achieve them. How many of us would go spend tons of money on those big game trips to come home empty handed like he does so many times cause he wont use a blind for a black bear or any other reason that he deems necessary?

As for you all saying he does fishing the easy way, i will say you have no idea what you are talking about. I have fished in tournements against Tred and although he has an ego the size of this planet, he is a good fisherman. He has set many line class world records, a handful in which people thought werent possible. Like i said, he gets alot of crap on the docks cause he has his ego that its his way or no way, but he puts fisn in the boat. He has also set up some offshore tournements that are for kids and has to date raised over $1 million dollars for the kids and the IGFA ( International Game Fish Association).

I'm well aware that he's not very well accepted by many.....(on a personal level)....

BUT....it still begs the question....when he says what he says....does it threaten or offend you.......and do you agree with his statment?

Bob I'm not sure why you KEEP bring up that I posted this before, really. My views on hunting with the longbow have changed since then....and we also have new members that I'd kinda like to hear from regarding this subject. If you're not interested.....skip on by;)

BHF.....really...of all people I think you might understand how the more one delves into traditional shooting ......the more respect one might have for someone who chooses that route.

I've got a LOT more respect for his style (not the man) than I did 6 months ago. Hence my question, today.

I've seen him several times say my effective range is X and then shoot at animals three times the distance, is that not bending?
