RE: Road kill bucks
Wow, 2 inches of antler already. That's too bad, it would have been something to see what they turned out to be.
It makes you wonder how many superstud bucks fall to the grill of a car. |

RE: Road kill bucks
I think you are looking at it all wrong. According to the QDMA doctrine this is actually a good thing for your deer herd. Kill does and mature bucks. Leads to bigger deer and a healthier herd. As long as no little guys get hit its a win win.;)

LA LA LA LA LA ......... I can't hear what your saying Steve!!!!
But really that is bad, and even though I didn't hear you, I think it is correct that more get killed this way than we think. |
RE: Road kill bucks
Thats a bummer Steve, It's hard to believe how smart they are when we hunt them and how stupid they can be by the road. Salt use during the winter contributes to the road kill problem as well. I believe the deer are drawn to the salt rich soils along the highways.

RE: Road kill bucks
ORIGINAL: GregH This time of year with green up occuring around the roads first takes a toll on a lot of hungry deer. |
