Wow, 2 inches of antler already. That's too bad, it would have been something to see what they turned out to be.

It makes you wonder how many superstud bucks fall to the grill of a car.

I think you are looking at it all wrong. According to the QDMA doctrine this is actually a good thing for your deer herd. Kill does and mature bucks. Leads to bigger deer and a healthier herd. As long as no little guys get hit its a win win.;)

No, I pulled them a couple of weeks ago, wasn't getting anything with any head gear.

LA LA LA LA LA ......... I can't hear what your saying Steve!!!!

But really that is bad, and even though I didn't hear you, I think it is correct that more get killed this way than we think.

Thats a bummer Steve, It's hard to believe how smart they are when we hunt them and how stupid they can be by the road. Salt use during the winter contributes to the road kill problem as well. I believe the deer are drawn to the salt rich soils along the highways.

these bucks were P@Y
I have to ask.... Why do you always type it out to read Pope@ Young rather than Pope & Young?

Back on topic, I haven't noticed any antler growth just yet in my area.

This time of year with green up occuring around the roads first takes a toll on a lot of hungry deer.
Around here the side of the road is a huge salt lick.
