If I see a beard he is getting shot at as well. This is my first year so I am not gonna be too picky

Here is where I would shoot...but take it with a grain of salt, after all, this is my first time going after them with a bow

The carotid artery sits right above the leg joint bullethole. I gurantee the bird will expire quicker on a lower leg shot than a higher lung shot. With the higher vital shot, your bird will undoubtably cover ground, however, the thicker feathers in this region of the body will prevent blood from hitting the ground, making it a difficult tracking job.

Well I know that I would've gotten one last deer season had I thought about getting a liscence for it! With a normal broad head I would place it right below the neck or in between the neck and body if you will.

As long as you have a good expandable broadhead put it in the middle and watch him flop. Rocket used to make a 4 bladed broadhead that was down right deadly on turkeys. We bought a bunch of them out of a catalog for $9.99 a pack. At last count we were 13 for 13 on turkeys with them. I wish I could find some more of them.

I would shoot for the shoulder socket with confidence in my arrowheads...
With gun...I'd take them all out with an improved cylinder 18 inch barrel 12 gauge..[8D]
Just Kidding....just kidding......Head shots with the bird shot for me...
