Matt and Greg pretty much summed up my own involvement as well. I visit the local shops fairly frequently and head out to the bigger stores and shows in my area whenever I am asked.

And I have my name out to any and all Bowtech/Diamond shops in a very large radius around me. I have received calls and have been asked to do an open house.

To those of you on Staffs (Not wanting to call-out Bowtech guys only, I see a lot of Folks witg Staff In their Signatures)
Do you guys get out there and talk to shops on Quality issues, Delivery, General Questions, or even sometimes just make an appearance to make sure they know the Company has support in the area?
Cuz I tell ya, I'm visiting more shops lately and I'm hearing the same tale over and over..
-Brand X, rep only calls me before the ATA show and then needs stuff from me, but when I need him. I get no response.
-Really? they have Staff members in this area?
-I always have to call the factory, and hope the get back to me.
I know you have other jobs to pay the bills, but you are also rep-ing a Company. The free or discounted merchandise is a payment for service, and I'd think that extends beyond the HNI Board a bit.
Food for thought..

Gr8 there is a HUGE difference between being on a pro-staff and being a "rep" for a company.
A pro-staffer is just a walking talking information advertisement. Often they have very little if anything to do with supply or really even sales. They are great for product knowledge and some of the bigger names will even help draw a crowd and generate sales traffic.
A product rep or sales rep usually works for a 3rd party company like MWS, and a few others I cannot remember. For example at our old shop we had a fellow named Kenton who sold stuff for G5, Benelli, CRKT, Benchmade, Woodhaven, RNT, Big Game Treestands etc etc. He had three or four huge three ring binders full of stuff. The makers (Remington, Hoyt etc etc) would hire his company to sell to dealers, and then he was responsible for one or two states.

They left one thing out. Any time we are at a 3 -D shoot, which is most of the time, people are always asking tech questions and about new product line. This is were I know Matt and I get most of our face time. We do see alot of the same fqaces. It becomes a "community" of sorts. it is nice to know guys can come to us for questions at anytime. It is a 24/7 position but we love it.
