RE: Your last buck: Food Source / Travel Route / Bedding area?

I killed my first buck this year early October feeding in a cut corn field. Second buck late October making scrapes in an oak flat between the corn and doe bedding. The third buck I killed was rutted up and I killed himin a cut corn field shortly after lunch the second week of November, he was not feeding he was cruising the edge at a quick pace with his nose to the ground and into the wind. I believe he was scent checking for does in the field earlier that morning or day.

The last buck I shot was in what I would consider a travel corridor smack dab within the middle of a bedding area. It was halloween

I messed up the poll because I didn't see "archery" buck. Sorry Fran.

Last archery buck was in a travel corridor very close to a food source in mid-October.

My big 8 was shot October 24th. I rattled him in out of his bedding area I'm guessing, I guess one will never know exactly where he came from. I was hunting about 100 yards or so from where he could of been bedded on a little sneak trail that I figured he might come in on. He did exactly what I figured he would do. He came in on the little sneak trail that these mature bucks allot of times take and then stood below my tree for 30 minutes before I decided he was big enough and the one I wanted. End of story!!

I said travel corridor. I could say that about 90 percent of the deer I kill with the bow. Most are in Oct.
