So everyone who has experience is intelligent?

Everyone who is intelligent certainly doesn't necessarily have experience.
Did not say everyone is intelligent, nor that everyone is experienced. You asked what was more important in the hunter's arsenal. I just don't believe you can have one without the other and be very (Consistently) effective.

True...buckmaster. I feel I have the knowledge and a little experience, so I think patiently waiting for what I have studied to come into reality is a key to my arsenal. If that makes any sense.

I kind of think that intelligence has little to do with knowing deer are out in the woods, more common sense to me. Even someone with lower intelligence can gain from experience and learn what to do to make themselves a better hunter in my opinion. Like an animal that adapts based on past success or failure. If you look at it this way, then I'll stick with experience.

Well intelligence is what lets us put our experience to use, so they do go hand in hand.

I kick my neighbors dog repeatedly for crapping on my lawn, but that damn dog keeps coming back. The dog gets experience each time I kick him, but he has no intelligence to use his experience to tell him hes gonna get kicked.

I wouldnt trade my "exerience" for anything.

I would say that experiance wins because you learn from your mistakes and that gives you the knowledge.

At what? Taking a dump in the woods. I thought we were talking about real hunters here.

Experience...but I was thinking about posting something similar and I would have to say for me patience.

I'm having trouble understanding how experience "automatically"= intelligence.

You can't squeeze blood out of a turnip.
I guess experience doesn't "automatically" equal intelligence.[&:] If I make a loud noise and it spooks a deer than I "learn" that making noises spooks deer.

Intelligence is the capacity to acquire and apply knowledge. Hey, I just did that when I learned from experience not to make loud noises around deer, for example.

Yeah, he has enough experience to know that when tummy hurt...go bathroom. No matter the location.
