RE: Your Hunting Crew/Party whatever you want to call it
I wish I had a picture of our little hunting group of 5 all together but I don't, just a few pics of a few of us together. It consists of my dad who is my #1 hunting partner and best friend. My brother who is a close 2nd to my dad. Larry who is a very close friend to the family and and one of my better friends as well. The last guy of our group is a friend of my brothers. He's a good guy and we just got him crossed over into the traditional side of hunting. He's finding out though it isn't as easy as he thought it was going to be. So far he's 0 for 3 on getting a animal with it. He missed 2 deer and 1 bear with it so far. He's loving the challenge. Notice that in all our pics everyone is shooting Traditional bows. Everyone in our group hunts either with a longbow or recurve. I would be more then welcome to have a fellow HNI'er hunt with us some time using there compounds. We could all polk fun at each other then in good humor. Great thread by the way!! Allot of awesome looking pic's from everyone!!!!:D
My dad and I with my 2000 Minnesota bear that scored 20 5/16 P@Y. I'm on the right and he's on the left. He was a proud dad that night! ![]() My brother and I with my P@Y whitetail that scored 140 1/8. My brother was just as proud as I was that night I think. I couldn't hardly get a word in that night with all the high fiving and jabbering he was doing! ![]() My brothers bear (120lbs dressed) and our new comer hunting buddy! My brother is on the left and Swannow (the new comer) is on the right. ![]() Larry (a very close friend of the family) and his P@Y bear he got last year. Scored 19 9/16. My dads on the right and Larry is on the left. ![]() Another pic of Larry's bear. ![]() My dad and my nephew with Larry's bear. Can't wait till he's old enough to start hunting! ![]() |
RE: Your Hunting Crew/Party whatever you want to call it
My regular "crew" consists of me and my homeboy Mark. I think we've been hunting together in some form or another since we were 12.
Here's his happy face, right after we recovered his deer this fall. ![]() |
RE: Your Hunting Crew/Party whatever you want to call it
Whoa - my hunting crew consists of one - ME - seems like I spend the majority of the my time hunting alone - has it good points but you miss out on the things you can share with a group and the memories you build -

RE: Your Hunting Crew/Party whatever you want to call it
Although I hunt off and on with a few friends my main "crew" consists of my 2 brothers and my dad. The 4 of us usually hunt together every weekend. Me and my bro's are bow hunters and dad is a die hard squirrel hunter. There's nothing like coming back to the trucks at lunch and eating on the tailgate and swapping story of the mornings hunt.Man it's going to be a long time until October rolls around again. I have a feeling that my 9 year old will be joining the crew before to long also.
