I've got a split crew. 4-6 OH guys, and 4-6 MO guys. It's a great set up, they come here, we go there. . and everybody scores 9 times out of 10. Weusuallyput western trips together every year also. Not all of us bow hunt, but it seems that the ones who do are just a little bit closer than the rest. . . but like most everyone else, the opening of deer gun is a sacred tradition. Our cabin is 16x32 w/ ahalf loft and we pack it to absolute capacity!Guy are on the floor, air matresses are EVERYWHERE (plus 1 bed, 2 cots, ahide-a-bed anda couch ) It's one of lifes greatest experiences withthe best group of guys I know(with the exception of chili night! [:'(]) . . .and magicman,I understand you completely. We have a no alcohol policy that's strictly enforced. Although a few us like to knock back some cold ones from time to time, we don't view huntin' camp as the time nor place for it.

Our crew likes its beer, but that gets drank after dark. We do have the first buck/first deer tradition of taking a shot of Blackberry Brandy, and the swisher sweet after shooting a buck.

Yes Beagle we have a great time and all but 2 are related. We actually only get the whole group together for 2 days out of the 9 day season.

peakrut... that is a big crew! I bet you guys have fun there!
IMO I think having a good hunting crew is probably the most important part of hunting. the comaraderie and story telling that goes along with it, is really what hunting is all about.

We have about 10 guys in our rifle hunting crew. No real traditions to speak of, but we always hear the same stories every year and laugh at them as hard as we did the first time. There are 10 guys, but most of them bring their wives. In fact, me and my dad are the only ones that dont bring our women with us. Mine is still fighting that tooth and nail.

That's my hunting partner on the left (me on the right). We knew each other since sixth grade and both love to bowhunt. Below is an additional bowhunting partner (on his birthday with his "new" bow), my son. He can small game hunt this year and big gamein the fall of 09:

My Club is made up of just 4 hunters that hunt a 260 acre tract of land. We are pretty blessed. Its my dad, brother, cousin (who is a moron) and myself. Really my brother dad, and do most of the hunting. My cousin, just shows the week of rifle season to hunt and then he might come back during December for a hunt a or two, but other than that he's non-existent. My dad, being the most unselfish human being to ever grace this earth, wants to see my brother and I succeed more than anything else, so a lot of the time he doesn't even do much hunting. Either that or he'll film our hunts. Either way you slice it, we have a pretty close-knit, family-oriented club.

Don't have a club or anything. My dad and I is pretty much it. We've tried takng other guys hunting with us and it always ends up bad because they blame you if the hunt goes bad.

There are a couple guys on here I would like to hunt with, but other than that it's just going to be a generational tradition within the family. My dream is a 3 generation hunt when my son gets old enough.
