Big project, not enough money.
i fell your pain, even my old truck needs a off-frame, but i jsut got it running good, and it looks a lot better in pic than in person... Dont give up on it though you'll get around to it.

Everyone keeps telling me to throw a "For Sale" sign in it, but I can't. It was my first ride. I bought it myself. I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Great looking truck Dan...Extemely clean for a 97, congrats!

My first car was a 1971 Ford Maverick drove it all through high school and two years in college.......that looks like a 72-73?
'73, good eye.

I had plans on completely restoring it, but I haven't had the time or money really since graduation to do it right. Bits and pieces here and there, really. Its a sweet car though, I like it.
I've got a soft spot for the old Maverick.....I hadtaken minecompletelyapart and restored it. I even thought about dropping a 302V8 in it (that was an option back in 71) but decided to just rebuild the straight six 200cid motor in it. Too much work (and money) was needed to swap out the front suspension as well as drive line thatneeded to support the weight and powerof the V8. I did get a "Grabber" hood with the dual hood scoops for it though..... it looked cool withthat hood!

My parents purchased it brand new in 1971 for $1,950.00 and it was eventually handed down to me after my two older brothers used it and abused it. I brought it back to life and it served me well making multiple trips out to Utah and back.......Ah....good times....good times.

Congrats on the new truck again!

Certainly a step up from the isuzu!

The old man just got a chevy 1500, had a dodge dakota, now I need something new! I'm thinking full size is the only way to go!
