To bow hunt in, I know the cold weather for the rut, but what type do you enjoy the most?? I love the late Oct weather here in Va, highs about 62 and lows about 46, the sun shines but it's not blazing.

50 ish that time of year when the noticable coolness of the pendingAutumn sets in. Heavily overcast.

Early archery season, mid 80's during the day then it tapers off to about 45-50 in the evenings..

Oct-Nov drizzle or butt cold days andclear..

Dec, bitter cold days but clear..

Troy, I see a lot of guys like it cold but sunny and clear, I know the deer here in Va move a lot when it's overcast and cool, they always move extra early. Is this regional differences??

I love to hunt on a clear windless morning that starts out in the teens and then warms to45-55 during the day.

actuallyt our daytime highs are closer to 70 at the end ofOct, but 60 would preferable!!

We get a lot of heavy rain and snow here in the Pacific Northwest, these conditionslock deer movement down outside of the rut.. Drizzle on the other hand or light rain is great here, especially during the rut.. I see the best movement by big bucks here during Sept and Dec when it cools off in the evenings ... but is clear..

I love hunting with snow on the ground. I love light snows every other day or so.It helps me locate deer and get a feel for what they are doing. Hunting in warm weather seems kinda wierd to me.

I really like early to mid Nov, overcast and pretty cool with a steady wind usually. I hunt when I can but in the south it can still feel like summer at times during october.

About 5" of snow on the ground with 20 degree temps and not much of a wind.
