By far the most durable broad head target I have found is the Morrell Yellow jacket. It is one of the cheapest too. I don't recommend shooting FP at it though. It doesn't like to give those back as easy.

Magic, i myself am searching for a good one to shoot at this summer. I had the Yellow Jacket last summer and it did ok, but it is wore out!! So i'm thinkin maybe i will try the Mckenzie shotblocker or the block 4x4. The regular block doesn't hold up well at all but i think this one might be ok.

Pretty much the same method as you Magic.
Look for groups with the FP & lightly tweak position with the BH.

I just use a replaceable center for my 3d deer target, I can probably get 100 shots with BH aiming at variuos spots on the replacement.

I have never shot with broadheads since I haven't been hunting but my husband Josh does and he is using the same method as you are. About the only other thing we can think of is using home-made targets for BH and a nice one for FP's. It is a bit more work but should be cheaper. Josh paper tuned his too and they don't fly the same so he pulls out the BH's about a month before the season starts. Too bad you can't use the BH's on the self healing targets now that would be sweet!

As a brother and a friend...I would stay with what yer doing Magic...

I won't try to convince you to goto mechanicals....But they shoot the same as field points...

I always say you'll never kill a deer with either head if you make a bad hit...some people leave the mechanical world after their first bad experience...but I still love them...I've never failed with them since 1993...on well placed hits....I know I know I know....I always say this....but I love FLINT TOO.

Shot my Longbow yesterday Shultzy...its been 8 years...It took 4 arrows to hit a large Mcdonalds cup at 15 yards...the kids were screaming so I had to go....

End Result - My elbow hurt, and the Jar had given me a headache.....I'll still hunt with her this year

ETA for first longbow pic with whitetail.... 10/14/2008

I never use more then one broad head to group or anything. I just fire one of them a few times to see if it keeps hitting the same spot then I am good. Adjust the sight accordingly if you have to but that's about it. That leaves the other two to pack into the quiver. So what do you have to do to tune your bow?
