many may disagree, but quite simply, "Appetite For Destruction" is the single greatest rock album of all time. It had more # 1 hits on it than any other rock album. I love that album;)

Look Slash is undoubtedly the finest guitar player of the 80s hair bands, and probably in the top 10 all time. But the biggest downfall of GNR was Axel Rose and his fool skirts.

As far as Buckmagnet's suggestion, there is nothing that even comes close to comparing to the hair bands of the 80s and 90s. I haven't heard a good band come out in many years now. |

O, come on now Hardwoods, some Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Disturbed, Atreyu, Sevendust, ect.... they all rock. I gotta agree, nothing like the 80's and 90's rock, but if we didn't have some of the few new bands like the ones I mentioned above, all of our new music would be Justin Timberlake and T-Pain ;)

Good form.... forgot about him. Heck he'd have been a top 3'er too. he could make a guitar make sounds you'd have thought a synthezier couldn't have made. You'd need an open forum discussion and two or three hours to come up with a complete list... a lot of talent over the years. |
