ORIGINAL: GMMAT Buck....if you ever get a chance to pick up anything by a band called Newgrass Revival......do it. With the exception of Pat Flynn (who is a tremendous bluegrass guitarist).....the rest of the band (Bela Fleck, John Cowan, Sam Bushand Jerry Douglas) are virutoso musicians. John Cowan also has a voice to match their talents. I just checked em out a little bit on Youtube...Good stuff... Funny thing, a few years back I woudn't have even tried to listen to Bluegrass however, I've found a new appreciation for music and it's roots... IMO one can't go wrong with Bluegrass, Honky Tonk, Motown and of course good old rythym and blues rock & roll (which is what most of today's new country has become)and metal... |
