That is really cool Rob! It certainly helps to make one more anxious for season to get here, early April for me. Now, if only my 82nd. with all of theOctane accessories would be ready by that date. Oh well, if it's not, I guess I'll force myself to shoot my Guardian.;)Congrats again on two great birds and good luck thisseason.

very cool Rob, How much penatration did you get, could be the cam angle, but it looked like that back bird almost ate it too.

I'd probably be more pumped about it if I coudl go out and do it by myself like I do deer hunting most of the time, but I have to rely on someone else to go with.

Brett,;) How horrible that you might have to shoot your Guardian[8D]...I'm not sure which I'm actually going to pick.

Buckmaster (Aaron), it's the camera angle but your right, it was close. The arrow went completely throught the gobbler and off into the distance. We never found it. We slowed it down because some of guys in camp said that same thing while reviewing the footage. That hen flew away safe and sound. :D


If/When the whole footage hits River Valley TV, you guys are gonna bust my ass. I was so pumped up and stuttered like hell through the interview process........and it's cool, when I arrow that bird, there are 3 gobblers coming from the left and this one came from the right with a flock, he was the first one in of 3 longbeards following hens, he turned back and I took him at 33 yards. His death run/flight along the ground is cool. The second is even better. I just miss a head shot (on purpose). In slow motion I swear a Blazer catches his beak as his head snaps. He hops up and I pin him to the ground with the second shot,



he jumps off the arrow and runs, flops over, kicks and done. :D :D

tkycallers is cool too, we have that gobbler coming in from 3 different camera angles. The outfitter is on one camera, his guide Denton is in the blind on a camera and I'm off the the side a ways with a 3rd camera. That was awesome.
