It is my understanding that if you incorporate there are some benefits. For example, a corporation is taxed lower than individuals. Also, you can protect personal assets such as residences, cars, bank accounts etc.. in case of a law suit against the corporation. I'm sure there are other people on here that know more about this.

Nope. Incorporated or (Corporations) is more for tax reasons and liability. My milk hauling business is also Incorporated.
