I'm taking off next week to chase Merriams in NE.
I'll take a week off in Late April to chase Turkeys in MO.
A week in June to go on a Fishing trip with the little lady in my life
A week Late Oct. to Chase Mulies in NE.
Nov. to chase Whitetails in IL.
A week in Dec. to chase Mulies again in NE.
That's the plan!

for 3 years in a row now ive taken the week of thanksgiving..i know it not prime time but i only have to use 3 vacation days instead of 5 to have the whole week off

Since I retired 6 years ago I pretty much go whenever I get the urge. Unfortunatly, I did no Deer hunting last year as wife became critically Ill after a major surgery last Sept. she is my 1st priority. Anyway, she is still sick but on the mend so I may get some Iowa spring Turkey Bowhunting in, Hogs in Oklahoma in June, Whitetail in Iowa & probably go a few times to film Family Bowhunting in Ill., Maybe a few days in Northern Wisconsin for Whitetail, hopefully another Hog/Exotic Bowhunt & take my son & Daugher that Bowhunt on this one. Take some of our girls to Colorado or Northern Ws. for Trout or just fishing. Take the Wife to Vegas for some fun of our own between Bowhunting & fishing. Take the kids to some fun amusement park this summer.
It's a full schedule trying to get er all done. I am blessed.

I'll take a vacation day this Friday to get ready for Saturdays turkey opener. Then I'm taking a Friday and a Monday in mid April for a 4 day hunt for Merriams in New Mexico in a few weeks and then I wait for November. I also get off with pay from Dec 23rd to Jan 5th. That will be my late season vacation without having to use any of my earned days.

My wife & I aretaking off the 1st week of October to hunt in Canada. Other than that, I hope to hunt every weekend, and most evenings during the weekdays, until the end of the year.. (or I tag out)
