My buddy killed this one Monday before thanksgiving last year 11/19. It was the opening day of gun season in WV, but he was bow hunting in a bow only county.

75% of the bucks I've killed come between Oct 26 & nov 9th. With most being Oct28-nov5

20% on opening day(falling anywhere during the first few days of october)

I don't know why, but I've killed most of my archery bucks between October 10-17. It's a wierd set of dates and that is usually when the "October Lull" is kicking in, but that's been a good time for me.

Get a handful of P&Y magazines and all the info you need is there.. I did that for a particular county in Illinois a few years back and found Nov. 9-12 was by far the most productive.

November 6th-10th works best for me..I see more daylight activity during these days than any other.

btw i never killed a buck with a bow yet, so the date i put down was with a gun, but they were both in easy bow range if i had a bow
