Where I hunt - no way your letting a true 140" deer walk.... There just aren't many around....

On my families land, there are at least 2 bruisers that appear to be 170ish ,I've had the bigger one (12points) in less than 30 yards twice last season and once the year before andhe neverpresented a clean shot [:@]. You better believe thatif his lil' brother at 140" presents me a shot, I'm takin' it.

I also live in Michigan and I ahve seen about 4 or 5 140+ class deer bow hunting. I will be the fist to say when I was slightly younger I took a horrible ethical shot on a 146 class deer. It was quarting away hard and I gave one last grunt and at 36 yards it turned its whole neck broadside and I let it fly. Now dont come after me saying how stupid it was because I know and I got reamed out for the shot by everyone I knew. I was lucky and it only wnet 30 yards. I would have never thought about that shot if it was a smaller deer but it was one of the first deer that was BIG and came close of my entire bow hunting career and I just made a dumb mistake. I am much wiser now and have passes on easier shots then that on some decient sized bucks.
