So how many coyotes did you get today? My brother and his gang of 6 are up to 95 as of yesterday since January. And he's not hunting out West where there's mor of them. LOL They run them with dogs and snowmobiles.

Zilch! It was 40 and sunny here in Milwaukee today and when I drove the hour north to where I hunt it was about 20 degrees, windy and snowing like a mofo! I froze my arse off! 95 since January?????? Thats amazing! I've been out about 12 times since deer season ended in Jan and called in 5 and got shots off at 2 and missed both times! They were pretty long pokes, but they're destroying the Turkeys where I hunt, need to thin the Yotes out. What I need to do is make it up to the cabin in Michigan and start calling them there, way too many! This work thing SUCKS!!!!!!!! I've heard from guys that run them with dogs have great luck, I wouldn't mind giving that a go!

Wow that is a lot of yotes, Don't know how true this is, but the more yotes you kill in an area the more pups the alfa female has per litter. If she knows the pack is down, nature takes over and she produces more pups. I have been trapping for about ten years, off and on and think this to be true. Turkeys are the same way. One year we had a big hail storm breaking a lot of the turkey eggs and sure enough the hens were back on the nests laying eggs late.

They sell the hides. Not a ton of money for them but it goes into the hunting camp larder for necessities. If I remember right, they get $25-35 for a raw hide.

Wow that's a lot of yotes. I used to call and trap them and never got more than 10 in a year combined. That's a pile of skinning work too.

It's been 10+ years since I've sold a coyote hide, I'm shocked they are selling for that much. Back then a prime winter medium to large pelt would go for $35-$40.

You couldnt get anyone to trap last year. I had one guy tell me $ 20/dog or he is staying home. Needless to say nobody trapped last year.
