I'll start, I hope to into my 70's as long as I can pull a bow, I doubt I will be pulling much over 50 lbs then.. I just really want to get to enjoy it with my boys.. so for me I hope to bowhunt another 35 years or so.. Lord Willing I live that long..

I'm pretty happy with what I've had so far, any more is a blessing! I gotta good feeling the boy will be carrying me into the woods to hunt with whatever weapon I can still shoot! :)

I'd like to get another 30 years if Icould.

RE: How many good bowhunting years...

I'm 56 now. Already had to drop back to a 60# bow. Maybe ten more years will have to learn to like a 50# bow. I'm thinking this will be a gradual process. Right now, some of the stuff I see Cameron Haines doing is a little above my physical limitations. But I know folks who have had sudden life changing health issues - that resulted in a big garage sale of lots of high end gear. I would say that enjoying every season like it might be your last is a good rule to live by at this point.

I'm 34. I would love to still be serious about it until I hit 50. After that I would hope to at least be able to gradually step down until I'm 65-70.

I think it's all up to GOD how much longer any of us will be capable and free to bowhunt. I'd like to bowhunt until my last season here. Being able to bowhunt and shoot my boware part of what helps me keep my little bit of sanity I have.

RE: How many good bowhunting years...

It would be nice if I could continue to bow huntuntil the Good Lord calls me home. A little more realistically, I hope to get 10 more years of being able to pull a bow back. Nowtaking the total reality of my health into consideration, I'll probably have to go to a crossbow within 5 years. Sucks, but such is life.

I'm 33 and in my second year of bow hunting. I hope to have at least another 30 or 40 left? All that you need is good old fashioned determination, good health, and a 40 pound bow.

Rybo, I only have one more till the big 50. But I know I have a lot more serious years of chasing these critters ahead of me. You need to aim a little higher brother.

Well considering for years I've joked that at the rate I'm going I'll be dead at 37...........and somehow 36 just snuck up on me this year, I figure I have one more good season. [:-]

It was nice knowing everyone. [&o][:o]

:DGood Question Troy:D

Now that I have a grandson and he's one ,well with me being 53 and the legal age to hunt is 14 here. I'll pray for the good Lord to at least allow me another 13 years till my grandson can tag along and help Grandpa drag out his last buck. Or better yet, I can help him drag out his 1st buck

Well, I'm 64 and still using my climber. At times I feel like hell and get cramps and tired, but I still love it and adjust. God willing and no medical problems I hope to be doing it for another 10 years or so. They all might not be from 20 feet up, but as long as I can pull a string and be out there and see deer, well hell, it's all gravy. As the add says, Just Do It!!! As I see it, every day from here on out is a bonus. So many of my troops are like old men and can't walk across a room. I feel blessed.

I was thinking about this the other day. I am now 53 years old and hopefully at least 10 more "good" years. When my fatherinlaw saw 63-64 he started going less and less due to losing some interest and having some health issues. In my case it will be up to my physical health cause I know the mind will still want to go.;)

We are a healthier bunch today than yesteryear and are living longer too. At 59 years of age I hope to be still climbing trees for another 6 yearsor as long as I am fit to do so then resort to ground hunting from blinds as long as I can pull 60 lbs and have a place to go.
