I went trout fishing a few days ago and the roadsides were littered with beer cans etc. We stopped and picked up 36 cans by one culvert! Please don't litter! Teach others not to litter. Thank you.

You should see PA.....for real, I don't know what people think. My buddy and I passed not 1 but 2 different discarded TV's on a pretty section of rural country road Sunday. People are pigs, no 2 ways about it.

There should be signs erected.

Littering:
1st offense - Fine = $5000 and a swift kick in the sack
2nd offense - Fine =$10,000 a kick in the sack and a temple punch
3rd offense - Death

You'd be able to eat of the shoulders of the road. :)

I was scouting some federal land a few weeks ago that used to be crop land but is now 10-12 year old CRP... I guess in years past it was prime dumping..

I could not believe some of the stuff I found out "in the middle of nowhere".... TV's, Stove, Refridgerator, Motorcycle, thousands of old farm chemical cans, tires, etc..... It made me sick knowing that most of that trash will be there for decades and some of it for centuries I'm sure.

I especially hate it where and when I'm fishing. People probably look at me and think I'm the one that all that junk belongs to.

I think they should make anyone that litters do Community Service for a month picking up trash along the same road they were caught littering on! [:@]

There is a Lady that takes care of several miles of road out where I live in the Country and she picks up a lot of trash that people throw out and deface our beautiful country side,I have a notion to stop by one day and give $10.00 or $20.00 for gas money or a gift certificate to eat and a nice Restaurant in town!

I found a freezer about a mile from a fire road in the Los Padres NF, and it was almost like someone dropped it out of a airplane.Just due to the fact there were no roads.

I understand that!!! We do a spring and fall clean up on the river that Baldwin Bait and tackle puts on up here in Michigan on the Pere Marqutte river you wouldn't believe the crap you can find floating down the rivers!!! Not to mention the roads.. Walt

Come on guys can't you think of your own replies?

As far as the littering thing goes I see it all the time...Mostly when younger (teens) walk out of a convenience store and open their candy bars or whatever and throw the torn off piece of wrapper on the ground.... I get so angry, because 2 feet outside the door is a trash can.[:@]

Texas used to have a commercial with the Don't Mess With Texas theme that had a B-29 bomber getting ready to bomb a pick up with trash blowing out the back. That would be sweet!

Guys if you want to see what a little drive and ingenuity can start, take a look at this site. This guy started all by himself with a johnboat in the Quad Cities. My company has done alot of work with him and he's speaking at our leadership conferences now.

Funny this post came up cause yesterday I found myself with a trash bag picking up garbage along the road around my house its sad ...anything from Mcdonalds bags to bottles and cans!

I been to alot of differnt states hunting and fishing and PA is the WORST for trash on the roads and Game Lands[:@]It burns me to no end when I see this. I always carry a trash bag with me when in the woods, any trash I see I pick it up. Its real bad at the State Game Lands parking areas. I think most of the trash at the parking area are from non- hunters, most of it anyway. You want to see a real trash can city!! Then come on down to TRASHADELPHIA-PHILLY PA! ONE GIANT TRASH DUMP!! PEOPLE DON'T CARE!!! Go to Canada and you won't see one stich of trash or Cig butts anywhere, They have pride in thier Country apereance!!! Sorry I had to VENT!! Trash goes up my a$&[:@]

When we were in KY last weekend we found discarded condoms, a toilet, and a dog all in the same spot. Now all I could think was, couldn't they find a more romantic spot to have sex multiple times in their beat up, rusted out1987 standard cab Ford? These are the people we are dealing with. I don't think they are capable of "getting it".

It's very sad, but ANYWHERE humans go, you will find theirtrash. The stream where I caught this beautiful 19" wild Brown Trout is deep in Pa game lands in Sullivan Co. I actually found an engine block some local actually pushedoff a cliff into the creek! I don't think too many visitors go up there with engine blocks in the back of their trucks. Very sad![&o][:'(][:'(]

Littering drives me nuts. It is altogether to common to find an empty soda or beer can a long way from the road. The effort was made to carry the d@*# thing in there full, the problem with carrying it back out emptyis what, exactly? I'm generalizing, but stupid freakin' rednecks!!

I know what you mean...I take care of my churches lawn in the spring and summer, my church is right on a highway, I can't begin to tell you how many beer cans, fast-food bags, whatever I have hit with the lawn mower...I've considered putting on our church sign..".don't throw your trash on God's lawn...remember he's watching"...but I honestly don't think it would do anything... some people just don't have any respect anymore

The other day I was at Walmart, and as I was walking thru the parking lot, I notice some trash. I bent down to pick it up and looked around. I was no more then 15 feet from any 3 trash cans. I looked around more and saw people looking at me like I was some pig. I don't know what is more disgusting, the people that throw the trash or the people that look at you strangely for picking it up.

Not that race has anything to do with it, but if you took a drive up to my camp in Ontario you would be sick seeing all the trash in this one area. Its a "Pulp Check" station for loggers, but the natives from the reserve just north of there use it as their spot to clean out their vehicles. In the spring, when the snow melts, it looks like a frickin dump.

When I see the old "Crying Indian" ads I have to laugh....though its more of a cultural thing by us (littering), not associated to their race.

Some people just don't give a crap. I guess that is one good trait I get from my dad. I remember being younger and rolling down the window getting ready to toss somethin out and he would stop me in a hurry...It is just so damn lazy to litter.

That post about the Engine block in a Stream is just plain rediculous.

magic, back in the fall I commented about the litter in the area I hunt. It's insane. It's disgraceful.I carry a roll of trash bags in my truck just to clean up the parking area at the end of the day. This a public hunting area and it's the hunters doing it. I know it'sfellow hunters becauseI use this area for family walks and dogtrainingduring the off season and there is no litter problem. I don't know if it's because 90 percent of the guys that hunt here come down from the next county over and don't give a darn because they don't live here but it makes us alllook like slobs to the non hunters that use this area also. Two years ago on the last day archery, soon after daylight I heard car doors and voices coming from the parking area. I pulled up stakes and called it quits. Back at the lot was a large group of people gathering for a park clean up. Coincidence or were they sending a message to us ?
