bow hunting turkey’s
#1
With turkey season started for some states and others just around the corner, I thought it would be interesting to see what type of setup people prefer to bow hunt turkeys?

I may or may not take the bow out this year as I'm after my first bird ever. Either way, I utilize natural elements and trust my ASAT head to toe the best I can for now. I may invest in a blind some day, but for now this suits me.

I've tried (and failed) many times to take one off the ground with no blind - unbelievably difficult. My hat definitely goes off to you guys who routinely fill your tags w/o using a blind.
I guess you could say that I've used "natural blinds" by virtue of hiding behind natural barriers - trees and rosebushes and such- but I'm guessing nobody just sits there in the open field/woods and expects to be able to draw on a tom that just walks right up and says "shoot me."

No blinds here, not my style.
I'll try it the hard way. But obviously as stated already, hiding in a blowdown or behind a tree is rather obvious. In PA we aren't even allowed to stack up branches or anything.
