You need to study Bone structure on a Deer.

That's Gospel!!

Dan
Is this closer to the muzzy hole or the green dot?

And to those who said it should have been farther forward......what would my arrow have taken out, internally.....that would make that arrow placement more optimal than a lung/heart hit?

I'm still learning anatomy.

17 pages of debate on whether a quick clean killing shot on a deer was a good shot?!?!
[&:][&:]

Shouldn't you gusy be filling out an NCAAbracket or something? Spring cleaning, flossing the neighbor cat's teeth, practicing from the turkey blind, watching reality TV? Anything. [8D]

I think that buck was sick and close to death anyway. So Even a mild flesh wound like yours wasjust enoughto do him in.;)

It's amazing, isn't it? I just wanna know what I could have hit more forward that would have been MORE optimal.

Even after hearing the autopsy results......we have a claim that it didn't do what I said it did.

Simply amazing.......(not):D

GMMAT dude no offense but why ask a question and the argue with every response that doesn't agree with yours. My opinion is it's a good shot but I to would have aim a little farther forwardon a "slightley quartering" deer.

RE: Would you be proud of this shot?

I'm not arguing with your opinion, Gutshot. I'm asking....."If" I'd aimed slightly forward of where I did....and hit there.....what would I have taken out that would have been MORE optimal than what I DID take out (heart/1 lung)?

It's a fair question.

Where the hell does it say were criticizing your shot here?
Schultzy:

In the Rage thread.....I stated I thought the shot in this thread was "optimal". Greg said he didn't think it was.....so I asked in another thread. Intereting to see some of the criticism.........but I'd only ask, again.....(see above).

If you had hit where you aimed would the shot been more optimal? [8D] If a man poops in the woods does it make him a Bear? If a single tree hits him while pooping does it make a sound?
