You pick my broadhead!
 

I have always shot Muzzy 3 or 4 blade broadheads (not the MX) and to this day have not had a problem. But I want to see which ones you think I should shoot and after a week, I am going to see which broadhead has the most votes. Then I am going to hunt some hogs with that broadhead and see how it does. Thought that this would be cool to do and maybe, just maybe, I may find that I like a different broadhead.

Here's my info:
BOW: Hoyt Katera 67lbs 27.5" draw Easton Epic arrows (346 grains w/
100gr BH) Currently shooting 294fps.
GAME: I will be hunting anything from deer to elk, but this trial will be for
hogs that will range from 25-300lbs.


Please only post once and when I see which broadhead is voted the most, I will order some and start shooting some hogs. Of course I will post the results of my hunts, some pictures of the hogs,and its holes.

I also vote for Muzzy, I use the 100gr. 3 Blade

Try a 3 blade Magnus Snuffer. Excellent head and its a big Cut On Contact BH. Bloodtrails are excellent with mine. I get pass throughs most of the time shooting 72lbs with my recurve.

Silver Flame 100...sharpest strongest broadhead in the world. Flies very true and is enough for every game animal on the continent. The heavier models have been proven on the biggest game in Africa.I've shot both deer and wild boar with them...pass throughs like butter. Our set-ups are almost identical. They are expensive, but are made to be used over and over. You might lose one, but likely you won't hurt one...just touch it up and keep going. ;) Good luck.

I've shot lots of differnt stuff.... but I really like my G5 Montecs. Simple to resharpen, super tough, fly well.... no planing issues on a tuned bow and properly spined arrow.

Go with the old Razorbak 5 or the newer version called the Crossfire(I think). Jk I read an article about both broadheads earlier today so they were fresh in my head.

Another G5 vote. I didn't want to have to sharpen mine, so I swithched from the Montecs to the Strikers.

If you're doing something purely on an experimental basis - just to see what happens...and you'd like to try something...different? I'd try the Razor Ring. Just to see if it REALLY uncorks a big hole in your unsuspecting target.

I pretty much hunt hogs about 90% of the time...We have alkways used Magnus Snuffers 125's, and I will never change, they do the job for me.

Rage 2 Blade...have shot the montecs and was disapointed,,they got nicked up fast.

I use grim reapers...100gr

1) I shot through about a 2inch sapling (I dint see it).Cut upthe sapling like it was nothing.
2) Shot a deer (clean shot through) and took it in and the processor seriously thought I shot it with a shotgun. He was trying to accuse me of using a gun during bow season (he got mean). I then got the bloodyarrow out of my case in my truck and showed him, then put my deer back in my truck and went to a different processor.
