You could always try shooting without one for a while and see if you really need one.
I was thinking of that myself

Currently using a Vibracheck Isolator. Seems o.k. But I had an S-Coil and as others stated, its a very good stabilizer. Its not much on weight so if you're looking for a little more weight for balance you may want something heavier and/or longer. My bow is pretty well balance without a stabilizer and I actually could not tell much difference when I took the V-check off. I've put an S-Coil on my son's bow and a few friends and they love it. As for Cabela's, sorry to hear your bad experience. I personally haven't had nothnig but great. However, I would not have them set up a bow for me. I bought my son a Diamond Edge package there and let them set it up with the accessories that came with it but ended up taking it all off and putting on better stuff. I suppose if you didn't know anything about bows they would get you by. Good luck with the stabilizer.

You can't go wrong with Stealth stabilizers... they adorn all my bows.

They look good, I don't like the crazy looks of the other stabelizers like the Fuse and the Wild Thing. Are they really worth getting for my already quiet and well balanced Black Ice? Right now I just have the cheap 4" stabelizer that I ordered from the Bowtech site.

I strongly dislike you...lol:D

To the OP, I shoot a 7" axium, and like it quite a bit. The Octane line looks promising. Posten makes good stabilizers for stabilization and/or vibration dampening (with the insert rods). I'm eyeing up the new Slimjimmz with the screw on weights.

I'd never try to talk you into buying something you didn't feel you needed... if you think your rig is already quiet and balanced to your satisfaction, I think you answered your own question. ;)
